Just before Christmas we were delighted to receive a very large delivery of gardening equipment for Green End, along with 20, 8ft fruit trees. These have temporarily been planted in the sensory garden before we make our mini orchard walk with them on the Teletubby hills in Spring.
We have managed to secure all of this brilliant stuff because from this month Green End will be working on an Eco/community project called the "Big City Clean Up" or "Small Hands Make Big Work", which is run by Manchester City Council. The project promotes communities working together to look after their environment. Our school will hopefully be the starting point for a big change in how our children and local community see and treat Burnage. It will give the school lots of opportunities to partner up with other schools, businesses and people living locally to help make Burnage a place to be proud of.
Our Eco team will be leading the project and they will be looking at how to promote our school and ways in which we can use this equipment to make our school and Burnage even better.
