Deputy Headteacher - Mrs Mansfield

I graduated in 2000 from Sheffield University with a degree in French and German. Straight after university, I moved to High Wycombe where I managed a theatre called the Wycombe Swan. Whilst at the theatre, I worked with lots of children in the youth department and decided that I actually wanted to become a teacher, so I moved to Manchester and did a PGCE at Manchester Metropolitan University. As part of the course, I taught in Germany for a month which was an amazing experience! After teaching in Harpurhey for 8 years, I moved to Green End in 2012.

I have two daughters who are both very sporty so, when I’m not at work, I can be found driving them around from football, to cricket to gymnastics! I enjoy running myself and have taken part in a number of charity races including the Manchester 10km and the Great North Run half marathon. I also love to bake but I’m not sure I’ll ever make it onto the Bake Off!

I love working at Green End and watching our children develop and flourish under the care of our brilliant teachers. I am very lucky to work with such amazing children and families!
